LRESC Resident Educator Consortium

Program Overview

The Ohio Resident Educator Program began in 2011, and has evolved to a comprehensive multi-year induction program, resulting in Professional Licensure with successful completion of the program and the Resident Educator Summative Assessment (RESA). The Ohio Resident Educator Program can be envisioned as the first years of a journey or the first steps on a path of continued professional learning, leading educators to more effective practices and excellence in teaching. The LRESC Resident Educator Consortium is a collection of 9 participating Districts and Academies from throughout Licking County. The combined expertise and human capital work to provide a rich opportunity for the development and support of the newest member of the teaching profession. By using tools and processes to examine authentic teacher practices, and by coming together to share their combined experiences and expertise, participating Resident Educators are able to create a network of people and resources to help them be the best teacher for their students that they can be.
