The ideal candidate will currently hold or be able to obtain an Intervention Specialist License. Qualities of a great candidate include: understanding of student learning and development, respect for the diversity of the students they teach, an understanding of all content areas, the ability to use varied assessments to evaluate and ensure student learning, strong behavior management skills, and the ability to collaborate and communicate with parents, peers, and administrators to support student learning. Applicants should have a valid Intervention Specialist License from the Ohio Department of Education and have or be able to obtain, the endorsement to work with the visually impaired. Our students have emotional disabilities and require a sensitive and intuitive teacher. The successful candidate will work with small group of high need students. Applicant must hold a current Ohio Licensure as Intervention Specialist or have all the credentials to obtain one. CPI training is a plus but we will provide training if needed. Applicants should be self-motivated, team oriented and be willing to take instruction.
