Our
Mission:
to enhance lives by providing individualized behavioral and academic services to children with social and emotional needs.
We believe that:
managing student behavior is the responsibility of students and staff working together.
The goal of our classroom behavior management effort is:
to provide a safe environment while preparing the student to self-manage.
We will achieve our goal by:
being consistent and working as a team.
Guidelines for our Program:
- At the time of enrollment the IEP Team must feel that behavior is the area of greatest concern for the student. We will focus on the student’s behavioral needs first followed by academics.
- Lessons are adapted to the student’s academic level of need as established by the IEP Team. All work is Ohio Content Standards based.
- Remedial instruction is utilized when appropriate.
- Teaching and Paraprofessional Staff are trained in techniques of Nonviolent Crisis Intervention.
- School-based Social Services are provided by our mental health therapists.
- We maintain constant communication with home through daily behavior charting and IEP services.
