CPI Training- Crisis Prevention Institute Training

What is CPI?

Crisis Prevention Institute's (CPI) Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training is a safe, nonharmful behavior management system designed to help professionals in any setting provide the best possible care, welfare, safety, and security of individuals presenting a range of crisis behaviors. The training, provided by a CPI Certified Instructor, is intended to build the knowledge and skills needed to recognize and manage crisis behaviors as well as establish a common philosophy and framework for the culture of safety within your organization.  

CPI Initial Training

Initial training consists of 8 interactive modules, including physical safety intervention procedures, and assessment. At the end of this training, participants will be Blue Card certified by CPI in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention.

CPI Refresher Training

Best practice states that staff should complete a yearly refresher. This accelerated training reviews the 8 modules from the initial training as well as provides opportunities to practice safety intervention procedures. After successful completion of the post assessment, participants will be Blue Card certified by CPI in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention.
